Hi guys, not a great first post I know!

I have a Turbomaster U5096 that I recently brought off of ebay a few days ago for £126, unfortunately when I was gently pulling the cord gently for the first time It went with almighty bang!

Time to inspect - I'm not sure if its been messed with in the past but the internal spring actually had snapped so I cant even retention it again.

I know its pretty much certain I will never be able to find a new Autoflex cable rewind anymore, thought I'd enquire on here since a lot of you seem more clued up on these machines than me.

Safe to say its always been a love - hate relationship for me and all the Hoover Turbo ranges as i've never had much success with them sadly :(

Anyway, all help will be very appreciated!

Thanks all

Hi,

Good luck with it. You will probably have to look for a second one and make one good one out the two.

Hey, thanks for the welcome!

I had thought this may be the case unfortunately, its a shame really as the cleaner is pretty much mint apart from the rewind going.

I guess I will be waiting some time before another pops up. :)

I've found the more basic Turbopowers tend to be the ones with the least issues. The U2194, U2332, U2602 and the Turbo Junior cleaners were the more reliable of the range and tend to be the ones that crop up the most.
