Ever buy something and think Why?
I went to the Elkhorn fleamarket yesterday and ended up buying a Hoover Model 925 for $20. Once I started to haul it to the car I wondered Why did I buy this?
Got it home and plugged it in they direct wired the motor and bypassed the switch all together. Took all the tape off the handle and got the switch out, found the third wire, then tested all the wires, it has high and low speeds.
Taking off the pulley cover it's missing part of the pulley, what is there is this weird clutch mechanism on the shaft. The brush roll is a newer one with curved brush inserts instead of the straight brush inserts.
The bag on it is a Dustest conversion bag that takes C type bags. It had a cloth bag inside instead of a paper bag full of crap.
