This is an incomplete Hoover Model 425. The model number is cast in the bottom. It is missing the brushroll. From the looks of the capstan on the motor armature, it seems that this machine originally took a flat belt. The tab on the power switch is broken, but the switch works. The motor runs quietly. The cloth bag may not be original; it says "Dust Care brand for Hoover." The cord looks like a replacement; the strain relief is cracked away. This machine is in as-found condition, dusty and in need of restoration or may be used for parts. Make offer. Buyer pays shipping. The machine is located on the west coast, so shipping cost will be accordingly.
