Hi. Full disclosure I am not a vacuum collector, I have no clue about these so I'm looking for some guidance.
I'm getting ready to move and cleaning out the house. I have a Hoover model 29 I inherited from my in-laws years ago. I was getting ready to dump it, but it still works and it pains me to dump something that works. So I did a search and ended up here.
According to Google it's a model 29, and a plate on the underside confirms that, my guess is pre-1960s but I'm pretty sure it would be post WWII. It's dusty and dirty but when I plug it in it still works. The handle has some paint worn off from years of use and the cord was spliced at some point. The handle doesn't stay up on its own. It has some of the accessories in the original cardboard stand and the hose. I'm attaching some photos.
I also have a newer Hoover model U4303. This one also works, has the hose and some accessories, if I can find them. My wife and I do not agree on where this one came from, She thinks it was also from her parents, I think it was our first vacuum, which would make it 1980s.
Looking for advice, or contact, or suggestions. I need to get them out of the house in the next month or so. If I can make a little money off them that's a plus but not a requirement.
If nobody wants them they are going to the dump but I hate to dump something that was obviously built to last forever. I'm in central New Jersey. If someone wants to pay shipping I'd be happy to package it up.
