Hello Everyone!

Just got from Ebay a very nice looking salmon color with art deco bag Hoover Convertible Model 728. Cannot wait for it to arrive and try it out! It does take the Hoover Type-C bottom-fill bags, which I know were less than ideal at times for airflow and bag changing issues. Are there any HEPA-type bags from any other vacuums that would fit this setup as well as improve air quality?

Thanks as always for the input!

Well...

If you got a top fill bag adapter from the later convertibles you could use hoover A bags which work VERY nice, Thats whats in my runabout and it work very good.

you CANNOT use Hoover A bags in a hoover 728 convertible if it has the original bag. the converter will tear the bag open. if its a bottom fill convertible made before the A bags came out, your pretty much stuck with C bags. and contrary to popular belief, changing those bags isnt messy and the old genuine hoover paper bags filter plenty fine. everyone's obsessions with hepa is obsurd.

I use Dirt Devil Type-U bags with the Type-A fill tube and bellows on my old bottom fill Convertibles. The type-U bags are a good bit smaller than the Hoover type-A ones and fit nicely in the original outer bag.
