I hope this Compact

Has a power nozzle outlet. I was looking on eBay for the rest of the attachments. Wow are they expensive. Can anyone tell from the picture what model it is? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Joe....that is a very nice Compact! The body looks to be in great shape for it's age. This is the very first model Compact that was released in 1946 after World War II. But unfortunately, I do hate to be the bearer of bad news....this one DOES NOT have a power nozzle outlet on the canister. The first one to have that was made in the 1960's, & it was a flop, so they brought it out again in the 1970's.

That's a Model C-2 Compact. Made from 1950 through 1957. It does not have a power nozzle outlet, but the one pictured does have an electric hose. The first Compact (Model C-1) made from 1947 through 1950, did NOT have a bumper. The motor was removed from the back, almost in a 'nosecone' design.

This is a C-1 Compact - note the nosecone and the 'odd' rug and bare floor tool design. NO BUMPER on model C-1.

This is a C-2 Compact and a C-2 Revelation. Same cleaner, same price. Compact sold by door to door salesmen - Revelation sold in vac shops. Note the full bumper. The C-2 was the first use of the "Magnelite" material (Magnesium mixed with aluminum). Weighed HALF of what the C-1 Compact (all aluminum) weighed.

Ad for C-2. Note the "Slave as you May" woman is using a Hoover (like a model 150). So the claim "half your rugs are never clean unless you use a Compact) should ACTUALLY read, "half your rugs are never clean IF you use a Compact". No way did a straight suction rug tool outclean the beater/bar brush agitator of the Hoover.

Compact C-8 with the first Eureka-built Compact "Turbo Brush" power nozzle. 1976. Note the cord running along the hose - the electric hose for the Compact had not been invented yet. The top trim color of the power nozzle was black and gold. That would change to all gold color when the electric hose was introduced in 1978.
