Hi Rex -
I never really have anything to ask for at christmas other then clothes - This year though I did ask for a Digital Camcorder - I actually picked the one I wanted, and my partner gave it to me as on of my gifts…
It is a Canon Vixia HFR500 - I use a splitter from the Headphone jack, and record listening through headphones, and then i use a patch cable to connect from the organ directly into the "MIC" in port on the camcorder… I do want to get a set of adapters and try recording from the two outputs on the back of the organ… I want to see how that effects the recording level on the camcorder..

Yes - I did start with the song setup, but then I tweaked it to my liking - I changed the variation, added a string tab, lost two flute tabs, and changed the bass tabs… I also turned off the AOC - Used a Duet Harmony -
I manually played the bass pedals on the songs I posted thus far on You tube, but on Tie a yellow ribbon, I played them manually for the first half of the song, but switched on the auto pedals for the boogie style bass in the second half of the song… The day I recorded this, it was damp, cold, and rainy in NJ -
The damp weather aggravates my bad left hip (yes at 48 yrs old, I need a hip replacement) and makes playing the fast boogie portion of pedaling hard to do without any mistakes… That Combined with the fact that I did about six recordings before I got one I was happy with, made matters worse… By the time I was done playing, my hip was killing me…
I am glad that people are enjoying them…
Dan
