Hey Guys
I have wanted a Kitchenaid Stand mixer for ages - I was out looking for present ideas this morning and came across one for me ..... The ice cream maker is by mail in offer and the Pasta roller set was free on in store promo. Yes the price is more than you pay over there. We get screwed on these same way you do on Miele:-(

The price seems fine with one of the bonus gifts, with two, score! I have worn out a few Kitchenaids could not live without one at all.Enjoy your toy, it will make you smile many times

Colour...

Hi David
It's Espresso - a very dark semi metallic Brown. Whilst not my first choice it was £30 cheaper than any of the others and to be honest is growing on me(My first choice would have been Onyx Black).
As much as I like the brighter colours in all honesty as this will hopefully last as long as me I feel a neutral is a better bet.

My Gawd, I love my Kitchen-Aid so much! It's the best stand mixer I've ever had. The Sunbeams are great in their own right, but (in my opinion) none of them come close to the power of the Kitchen-Aid.

But you wanna talk about irony: A month after I got the K-A for Christmas I was diagnosed with Type-2 Diabetes. So much for spending hours in the kitchen baking cakes.......

I wish my metal mixing bowl had come with a handle. That would make it much easier. I also don't understand why they didn't put a spout on one side for easier pouring.

Quite a pile.....

Well between me and presents from the BF I ended up with this little lot - plus the FGA Grinder , roto shredder and cover .....

Great machine

Love my Kitchenaid. Mine is Diamond White for the Diamond anniversary. I don't think a day goes by I don't use my Kitchenaid for something.

Got the grinder/sausage stuffer attachment at Goodwill for $5, NIB. Got an extra bowl with the machine, that comes in handy. Another attachment I love is the scraper paddle.

They DID !!! And, I DO!

Plus: 2 Sunbeam mixmasters, a new Sunbeam hand mixer, 2 Kitchenaid handmixers, a KA stand, and 4 HOOVER mixers, a Muli, A Sunbeam Oscar, 7 HOOVER blenders, 5 HOOVER electric knives, a new waffle baker, a HOOVER one, 4 Crepe makers (H, of course), 7 Fry pans, one by Presto, an imersion blender, 3 popcorn poppers A Rotisserie, 2 toaster ovens (H), and a Kitchenaid counter oven, and 2 ice cream makers. I know, it's ridiculous. I've missed a few appliances, I'm sure. Julia Child AND Martha Stewart don't have a better equipped kitchen than this one.... really......

Gosh, I hope that didn't

sound like I was bragging... shoving ALL ofthat down anyone's throat. I abhore when people boast in ugly detail.
I was just doing a "kitchen inventory". I DO use a lot ofmy sstuff. BUT, it was never my intention to "brag" or bore anyone to tears. It took a long time to acquire those things,as I'm sure it did for most of the rest of us.
I was merely responding to the "Hoover" appliance comment.
Thanks.

JUST A LIST

Dear John, don't be a silly boy. We all know you well and we're sure about your ethics. You're such a nice person that you don't need to give those explanations!
We're all a sort of collector and it's normal for us to have a list of things, sometimes repeated, that's not boasting anything. Be calm you're not showing off richness but some items you collect we all DO!. Hugs Gus.

John, I have the silicone scraper paddle also and it does work, but it tends to push my cookie dough over the top of the bowl at times too. This is on the 6 qt. bowl lift model with Kitchenaides new paddle
