I was about to post a thread, but Seamus has beaten me to it, great minds think alike ;) . I also got a KitchenAid for Christmas, gifted from me to me.

My pretty in medallion silver. No fancy attachments, narrowly missed out on the ice cream maker, but it is the cheapest price I would ever find, already down from 429 to 386 plus 5% as a promotion we were doing plus 10% staff discount, 330 in total. I would like to get some attachments, mainly the pasta set and the food processor attachment.

Used it already, made two batches of bread, one plain, one parmesan and sun dried tomato.

Also made an amazing homemade lemon meringue pie.

Think I quite fancy the matching toaster and kettle. Oh god, it's going to be expensive...

Gosh I hope not to stir the trouble here, but.... I worked in a kitchen store, the Kitchenaide mixers/ food processors and stick/ hand mixers were great, but there were issues with many of their other products, guessing rebranding.

Have you registered your machine with KitchenAid? Apparently they send you a free cookbook.

Still waiting for a present from brother, so Ill ask for the pasta set. Next time I see our rep, I'll try to knoble her for some freebies!

Last time I looked.

The KA stand mixers and possibly the hand mixers are still made in the USA but their blenders, toasters etc are made in China unfortunately. The pasta attachment I believe is made in Italy . You have to look carefully at the bottom of the blenders etc to see that.. it's imprinted into the plastic "made in PRC" and somewhat difficult to see., What you do see is a noticeable white sticker Kitchen Aid, St.Joseph Mi or something which can lead you to believe that they're made in the USA.

They seem to be priced over in the UK like the Kenwoods are priced in Canada,, near twice the price.

A relative of mine

works in the Greenville Ohio factory where these are made. When I ordered my dishwasher, that where it was delivered and we went to pick them up. People LOVE these things!

The Kitchen Aid Mixer

That's what I got for Christmas too!!! I got the Commercial model so it's the bigger size & mine is bright red. I need to pick up a few "attachements" for it now though lol

Kitchen Accessories

I'm getting a new Amana Microwave oven! I was offered this 1977 Amana Radarange RR-9 by a friend on Lighting Gallery for free! All I have to do is go to Georgia and pick it up! So excited! I have always loved old Amana Radaranges, I have one now from 1985. It has served me very well. The picture is the exact microwave oven I will be getting.

I picked up the 1977 Amana today. I cleaned it up and it works very well! Unfortunately, the control panel no longer works. I'm going to see about getting that repaired.
