I just received this cooking appliance for Christmas. It is capable of making a breakfast sandwich in 4 to 5 minutes. I had never heard of something like this until now!

Just this morning, I made a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. It was amazingly delicious!

Has anybody ever used one of these?

In other news, I also received an iPhone 6 for Christmas. These photos were actually taken with that phone!

Looks pretty neat. I have seen these in the stores, but didn't know how they would work.

Edited to ask:
Can you use this for other things, or is it pretty much dedicated to the one function? I notice since it is round it would be difficult to do grilled cheese or something, but can you poach eggs as well as fry etc.?

Well

This appliance not only makes breakfast sandwiches, but lunch sandwiches and mini-pizzas as well! I found a recipe for grilled cheese sandwiches.

I'm not sure about poaching eggs, but it is possible to fry them. However, I've never had sunny-side-up.

Below is a video I found on YouTube that demonstrates how this sandwich maker works.

Nice sandwich maker!

I didn't know that there was a sandwich maker that could make TWO breakfast sandwiches!

Funny thing is, this was the first present that I opened on Christmas Eve. I didn't know what to expect initially. But it is a great little kitchen appliance. It's so easy to make a breakfast sandwich! I typically cook sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches.

Oh, and Happy New Year!

Pretty nifty!  I wonder if you could cook a sausage patty first in the little machine, remove it, and then assemble the other ingredients, including the sausage.

You can't cook a sausage patty first in this machine. What I do is cook the sausage in the microwave for a little bit, then cook all the other ingredients in the sandwich maker, including the sausage.

It would take too much time to cook the sausage separately.
