My partner and I travelled to the South of England on Saturday to collect a vintage washer we'd bought off Ebay.

The seller showed us around this house which he was clearing following the death of its 97-year-old owner who had a mine of old appliances.

I passed on most of them but did pick up this old Goblin Roto 114A which is in fine working order and he gave it us for nothing.

It's shape reminds me of the douglas Aardvac/kirby vacuette. Guessing it's loud but effective?

Yes

It is noisy but cleans well and seems to have a good action on the carpet. Not sure what I'll use it for, if anything. I just need to see if I can get a small supply of belts for it. My initial search (only brief) was not successful.

That reminds me, need to get a couple of psarebelts for my Kirby Vacuette, the one it has in there has given up, but not bad service for a belt that was too stretched for a Dirt Devil handy vac though...
