Believe it or not, it works, coil the hose on the top rack of your dishwasher, add detergent and run thru the longest cycle, heated drying turned off,,,

Been doing that for YEARS. My Constellation hoses are pristine. Also, use liquid dishwasher soap since it contains bleach.

BLEACH-------May NOT be good for vinyl hoses-the chlorine in bleach can WEAKEN the vinyl.Probably one or two times-infrequent cleanings using bleach may not hurt-but don't do it all of the time. And would the dishwasher idea be good for electric hoses-esp those with switches, wiring, control boards, connectors and such.Dishwasher detergent IS corrosive to metals.

Cleaning hoses that way is certainly infrequent. The bleach in liquid dishwasher detergent gets the white and off white color hoses to come out beautiful. Even Rainbow electric hoses have been washed in my dishwasher to complete cleanliness. But again, they are only run through one time, once they're clean the hose goes into the collection and doesn't have to be washed again.

Glad to know this Tom. It will make cleaning them much easier. I will have to watch since my dishwasher gets very HOT!
