I would love to get my hands on one of the lightweight uprights from Tacony (Riccar Supralite, Simplicity Freedom, Speedy Maid from Fuller Brush or M500 from Maytag), but the only vacuum I have is a straight-suction Dirt Devil canister (link below), while there are carpets in my house. Sometimes, my father lends me his bagless Bissell upright for the carpets, but I don't trust the machine much, since it's a cheap model like the ones we find at Walmart and I like quality stuff.
In the thread I posted about my Dirt Devil, some people suggested that I get a turbo brush for my canister, but do any of you believe that even an entry-modeled Freedom or Supralite upright would outperform a Chinese-made TTI canister with a turbo brush from Wessel Werk or my father's Bissell? Should I get one of the Tacony lightweight uprights if I had enough money?
