GE PowerNozzle mania....
Oh man....
That's the powernozzle that I was thinking of. I saw this on either one of the other vacuum forums, or here LONG long ago. The powernozzle looks very Lewyt-ish, and of course has the headlight which the FQ head obviously doesn't.
I wonder who made that, or if it was a GE built head. I've never got a "straight" date from anyone on what year G.E. Left the U.S. market. 1972 or 1974. I've heard different sources. And as usual we all know that almost immediatly following their departure Premier Electric out of Cleveland, starting branding most of the previous G.E. lot of cleaners under the "Premier" badge.
I have two Premiers. One is a commercial version gifted to me by our own Jeff Parker, many years ago, and is one of my prized possessions. The other I was given by Kyle Krichbaum the TOL Green Cord Reel Upright just 6+ months ago.
I love, and are facinated by machines that aren't as popular as Kriby, Electrolux, Filter Queen, Hoover and Eureka. Not that I don't have any of the previously stated. But show me a Air-Way, Lewyt, Singer, Sunbeam, Regina, Universal or G.E. And I want to know more about them for sure.
Thanks again for dredging up a pic of that original G.E. Powerhead. That was AWESOME...
Yours
Chad
P.S. Heres a RugMasteR equipped Air-Way that I was also gifted by Kyle a few months back. The pic is bad, but It's the one I've got.
