Hi everyone,
I have a Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80 that I rescued and am working on rebuilding. It definitely needed new bearings due to noise so I opened it up.
While I was in there, I wanted to replace the carbon brushes but unfortunately one holder broke. I have been unable to find a replacement anywhere. I believe the part number is 107259A. Does anyone know where I could find one of these?
I also had a question on the rear bearing. I have both new bearings on. The old bearing had a small round plate which I assume is to keep the grease in the old bearing and not used on the new one? There is also what looks like a spring type round piece inside the motor housing that would go against the bearing. Is this left in there or removed with the new style bearing?
Thank you for your time and any help you can provide!
