My good friend, Luke Gebhart, visited the Vacuum Cleaner Museum in St. James, Missouri yesterday. Luke came all the way from Ohio for a visit. He and my very good friend, Bill Kirby, arrived with presents. One of which is the 1978 gold color Compact carpet shampooer. It matches my gold Compact model C-8 beautifully.
Note the flowers on the side of the Compact vacuum as well as the Shampooer.
The Shampooer was made for Interstate Engineering by Bissell. Interestingly, they also made the same machine to match both the copper Rainbow D2 and well as the chocolate D2A model.
A huge thanks to Luke and Bill for stopping by. Lunch was excellent, as was dinner. The best part was catching up with long-time friends.
