I made a special cord for my Model 30 because I didn't want to hard mod mine. I took an old percolator cord that fit and I added another secondary plug (standard NEMA 1-15 two prong outlet), and then I took an old Kenmore PowerMate nozzle and added a long cord onto the nozzle that would plug into the outlet that I added onto the percolator cord. It was nice because it allowed me to use a power nozzle with the Model 30, but it would also allow me to keep the vacuum original. I don't have a pic of the setup, but I did draw a crude diagram of what it looked like.

Crazykirbydude, I don't blame you for not wanting to modify your 30. I wouldn't either. I have both the the 30 (XXX) and the LX and currently use a Turbo Nozzle.
