Vacuflo Model 26 Dating

I have an older Vacuflo Model 26 central vacuum unit and I'm hoping someone out there happens to know how to decode the serial numbers of these units to know what year it was made. Photos of unit and serial number are attached.

I would guess the 3rd month of 1997.

The model 26 was discontinued in 1992. The only way to really tell the date is to look at the sticker on the motor inside or call Vacuflo. They were fairly cryptic on these models. Newer models have the year followed by the week of manufacture in the serial number.

Oh, even still they are very encryptic. Our new one has no indication of the date in the serial number. It did come with the date tag included with the packing literature though.

I read "Vacuflo model 26 dating" and my mind immediately went somewhere other than vacuums : - )
