Electrolux model G: A version I have never seen before

When I saw this I thought it was a repaint untill I saw the model sticker and then I had to have it. If anyone has info on this PLEASE share.

she has had a rather rough life but is still beautiful!!

I believe the rear wheels have been replaced but just look at the golden hub caps on the front!! love it

Also notice the two power head plugs.

So it has a gold body, white trim, two plugs, and a turquoise exhaust grill

Sadly no tools or hose with it
I would love to know it it had regular tools and power head or if they too were gold?

Now why in the world would that have two power nozzle recepticals ? Do they both work and would one of been an after purchase modification just curious? Zach.

The plug at the front has been cut off at the motor for some reason. Maybe it went bad and Electrolux just put that one on top?

Electrolux made replacement chrome trim pieces for the top with the power receptacle so that when rebuilding model AE's they could be used with a powernozzle, which they never came with originally.  Those same trim pieces got used on subsequent models when being rebuilt, either because that's the trim that was available or because it was thought a more convenient location for plugging in the cord than under the hose or down by the right front wheel where they frequently got accidentally yanked out while vacuuming.  I know, I've experienced it myself!

Can no one realize this was a saleman's prize?

The Electrolux G was the most successful machine in Lux history. This machine was a salesman's prize for performance aka...selling LOTS of G's. Who knows what color the hose and tools were, but the plague on the bottom is telling in that it says "Hey!" you sold lots of Electroluxes!
As has been said many times, the original lower front power nozzle outlet had trouble. We see weekly early G's with the addition of a top mounted PN connection. Of course, it's had a little surgery over the years.

Let us know if you have restored your Golden G. Very cool that the Golden J/1205-J, Super J/1401, gold Model L, gold B-8, and gold CB's color actually came from the Model G award model in the 1960s. I wonder if Electrolux was still giving out award machines in the '70s, and if so what color they were ... perhaps platinum?

I know they had Salesman awards prior to the Gold G, they had a B7 floor polisher that was chrome as a Salesman Award.
