I bought this beauty! It is an Illinois-built 1989 Filter Queen 95X. Steel inner cone, AN96 power nozzle complete with boxes! Runs like a champ! Does anyone know the story on the floor tool in front of the boxes? I have been around these machines most of my life, and have never seen one! It does not hook up, do I need an adapter or is this a mismatched tool? It has the "pyramid" design, so it is an FQ tool. I paid $265 for the machine and due to how complete it is and how nice it is, I am not upset.

FQ looks amazing. Very rare to find boxes. Rug nozzle and lower wand are Rainbow. Slots on top were added about 1964 to improve air flow to carpet.
Thanks! I saw it and had to have it. I think what I will do is adapt that wand extension to fit my FQ machines because that tool would work well with them. I have 90% hard floors in my house, and would definitely use it. I use a power nozzle set all the way down, and really like that versus a floor brush. I will cut it with a grinder, then drill in and rivet a pin hookup to it because it is the correct diameter for a Filter Queen.
