Hi again:
Just as a FYI the original CB (Model before this one) is in the same colours as the CA was but had the vinyl hose like the rest of these. I've seen one before but didnt get pics of it.

CB2000 chrome lid?
Did these ever have a chrome lid this would look sharp on any CB the pic from an owners manual appears to be a chrome lid am I wrong?

No the lids werent chrome but the optional filter holder that went under it is.

A friend just brought these parts to me. He's a former Electrolux salesman and was talking to another ex salesman that he knows last week. The other guy not only remembers selling the CW model but also had these spare parts. Apparently they were ordered in for someone that never picked them up. LOL now all I need is the machine to go with them.

Where were the CW and CBW manufactured, and in what years were they manufactured? Did they look very similar to the CB from the outside? If not, how were they different?
Also, in what colors was the CB2000 manufactured? I am thinking at least all the colors of the Model 1521s and the accompanying Special Model 1453s, the B-9, B-10, Model 1522s (sand/jade, sand/taupe and blue/fog), and Rug Washers.
Any info. and pics would be appreciated.

Does anyone know of any place to look to get replacement parts for the blue CB models I have two of them and one is the newer and one is the older versions! I need to replace the armature of one of them as the bearings went out and fried the motor. That happened right after I got the pair right before they were to be thrown away. If I can get the replacement parts then I can get the second working as I love them both! Surprisingly the two models are different in the motor as one armature is longer than the other including the vacuum blades are taller than the other! They were rebuilt and might have used different parts for it. Anyone got any clues? The older one looks like a lighter blue than the other and its serial code is 57732 and the newer one which has the smaller armature and blades is a darker blue, serial code is 125796.

Model CBW Intro & Model CB Upgrades - mid-1970s
According to an Electrolux (USA) sales and service bulletins the model CBW was introduced in August 1976 with these features:
1) heavy-duty, high performance, commercial by-pass motor
2) cleaning air is exhausted downward from top cover
3) separate cooling air for motor has air flow path which prevents entrainment of foam or water from accidental spills or tipover; thus providing greater safety
4) shielded switch prevents accidental function
5) separate float assembly facilitates easy cleaning in janitorial sinks for wash-off or submersion without possibility of creating electrical hazards

... the new-style 3-pin plug on the Model CBs was implemented in August 1975
... an added feature to the Model CBs [with the Super J motor] was a 1/4" diameter vent hole which was drilled just above the Electrolux brand plate on the rim of the motor housing. This was in case one vacuumed powdery dust or lint (which clogged the bag and caused motor over-heating) and didn't want to stop in the middle of a session to shake out the bag. A plug was inserted during regular operation (part 13150)
... in the past it was possible that the power nozzle receptacle might not line up with the hose when the top cover was reinstalled after emptying the dust bag. As of now (February 1977) all CB cleaners manufactured have a new, positive alignment latching system which allows the top cover to be installed in only one location on the cleaner body.
... (Feb. 1977) a 2 3/4" adapter cord (no. 42112)--used as a retrofit for attaching the PN-4C (with a 3-pin plug) to CB cleaners purchased before August 1975 (with a standard receptacle & hose cord)
