@Alan, what happened to @Vacuum Facts? There's a V16 firmware update from svc0ps.50.02.011.0007 to svc0ps.50.02.012.0011. Anyone know what changed other than "bug fixes and improvements" as Dyson vaguely mention in the naff app? I did notice the app is very, very pestery about updating—something I'll add to my review.
I don't know. @centralsweeper63, I can't really interact with Vacuum Facts directly anymore. It's as if he's banned. And yet I only saw that his profile is there but limited, so... he might be temporarily banned. What do you mean? His profile picture?
I plugged in my Sebo and it worked just as I needed it to. No screen, no firmware, no app. There's a V16 firmware update from svc0ps.50.02.011.0007 to svc0ps.50.02.012.0011. You are pretty off-base with your use of LLMs here. I haven't seen anything to suggest that an intermittent connection to the head is a common issue, nor that disconnecting communication lines would result in defaulting to a high power setting. Either of these things is possible, but there's nothing to suggest this instead of the simpler idea that it's just a poorly performing product.Okay, everyone (@vac14012, @cheesewonton, @frickhelm, @centralsweeper63, @Hatsuwr, etc.), I have a big update to my hypothesis. I got Gemini 3 Pro, and like previously I've constantly corrected the AI to get to a fixed conclusion.
The problem still apparently has to do with the connectors, but the proposed fix is now tightening the data pins to fix it, instead of blocking it as the 2.5 Pro version proposed. That old solution isn't considered viable because it would cause communication errors. (Oh, and V16 got firmware update already).
We can only hope.I don't know. @centralsweeper63, I can't really interact with Vacuum Facts directly anymore. It's as if he's banned. And yet I only saw that his profile is there but limited, so... he might be temporarily banned
AI also loves to hallucinate. It's designed with confirmation bias, and if it's wrong and you correct it, it will admit its wrong, apologize, and then go right back to a new set of hallucinations with entirely different hypothesis. You are pretty off-base with your use of LLMs here. We had a similar experience with an electronic dog door. The first door shipped never connected to our internet. Turned out to be an early version that was no longer supported. The manufacturer sent another dog door but now we have to worry the door we have will eventually become unsupported.AI also loves to hallucinate. Anything that requires an app to use has a lifespan of exactly less than 5 years before it's unsupported and then without the support, it becomes bricked and you pitch it in the bin. This is why there's so many 2015-2018 year Roombas on eBay right now in massive waves of listings, as their app connected program service has ended making them completely useless since they need the app to program them. There might be a way to hack the app and trick the servers, but otherwise they're pretty much dead.
I think Dyson shoud fix that, not a fan of homemade stuff on a 1000€ productToo bad @Vacuum Facts refuse to inform us. You guys will have to live with it.
They could totally do something like that by the time V16 releases in the US, only with a proper tuning to make the V16 perform as well as IT'S SUPPOSED TO.Don’t forget that Dyson announced the v11 in 2019 and then a year later in 2020 they released a new extra version of it with the removable battery
@Hatsuwr, it's far more accurate to say that V16 is a crippled machine, not a poor-performing. I am not kidding, because I trust @Vacuum Facts since he's the most objective of the bunch (because of his data and evidences which he usually brings). You are pretty off-base with your use of LLMs here. Which is why I had to constantly correct the AI. I couldn't let the AI continue to hallucinate. Well, it seems the newest AI model is more capable and less likely to hallucinate.AI also loves to hallucinate. AI should help people like us, not replace them. At all. Simple. It is still likely it 'influenced' your guidance though.
Yeah I had to get rid of my new oven I got in 2016 for other reasons (piece of junk that broke 4 times since buying it and had to be totally torn apart all over the floor to fix it each time), but it had an app on it that turned out to be the most stupid crap ever. It was for people too lazy to operate the buttons on the oven so you did it on a phone and then held the phone up to the oven and it would program the oven. It was absolutely the most stupid crap I ever saw in my life. Well anyway, less then 2 years after that the app turned into spyware and my phone's antivirus detected malicious code in it and blocked it from my phone. I thought it was a mistake so I redownloaded it, and then I started getting tons of chinese popup ads and other junk whenever I tried browsing the internet on the phone, and it was really slow all of a sudden and kept losing connection, so I said nope! LG no longer has the app anywhere and deleted the app from their website. It's just insane. I have since bought a nice simple oven that I also have a metal cover over the range top so I can use it as an extra countertop. 100% more useful. And the burner grates dont weigh 20 lbs each.We had a similar experience with an electronic dog door. The first door shipped never connected to our internet. Well luckily it's not capable of either one at the present timeAI should help people like us, not replace them. At all. Simple.

Maybe you guys just search The term "frontier AI model" then. I don't trust any AI model that's not frontier-level.Yeah,I have a quote, "since when does my toaster have to spy on me".
LLMs are amazing tools, but all you did is beat the answer you wanted out of it.Maybe you guys just search The term "frontier AI model" then. I don't trust any AI model that's not frontier-level.
