Technically...

Technically its 106 though the last six err... 15 years or so have been terrible. Bring back the Activatior! The Turbopower & Turbomaster! The Junior and the Senior! And the original Vortex, and save one of THE best brands from the pits of household waste centers!

Sadly though, it's done now, they'll all be filling the ground.

One thing I noticed now, is that Vax only make a couple of Eco direct filter machines, most of them are Single Cyclonic or Multi Cyclonic. That's quite good really, whereas Hoover have just tarted up their Smart machine & sold it under various names, some of which were pretty decent machines in the past.

Tbh Jacob, Hoover were doing OK when the machines were being produced in the E.U. It was just when they decided to move production to China & abolish they're bagged machines (bar the Purepower & Telios) & introduce horrible cleaners such as the Dust Manager, The One & Alyx. That's when they started to go down hill, about 2005 onwards.

Phew, that took about 5 minuted to write :)

Looking at the online Argos Hoover Vortex...

...with the zoomed in pictures, reveals...

pleated filters?!

Ha! They can keep it!
