Unfortunately, my beloved dog had to be put down after a major seizure (something I half do and half don’t want to talk about as I am currently still grieving), and he was given haircuts in my basement’s unfinished room/workshop. It was previously used daily for a good 10 years or so before it was put into storage in the basement. Cut to the chase, it has some flaws that I’m one way or another affect the machine. From top to bottom, I will list the flaws in order:
1. The area where the wand snaps into the machine for usage as a handle has a few pieces of plastic that were chipped off, but the handle still locks in place
2 The hose has an issue with the cuff: it is held in place by duct tape first off. Secondly, the buttons that hold the wand in place are gone. An issue that has been existent for for 10 years no less,
3. The onboard stair tool is missing
4. The bin is okay, but the cyclone assembly is another story. First off, a few years back, the handle cracked , but was still in one piece) and since has been glued. And the little latch that holds the bin shut has a broken off piece after the bin was practically glued shut after vacuuming up some small wonka nerds and had to be forced open somehow.
5. The internal hose as it is called has a hole and is covered with packing and duct tape.
6. The brush has a worn spot where the fill tube is.

I might be able to help

I actually have some parts that I salvaged from a broken DC07. If you want I can sell you the parts since I don't need / have any use for them anyways. I know for sure that I have parts for #2, #4, #5. Could you take some pictures of the broken areas?

Pictures

Here are some pictures. The picture of the bottom is to show both the fill tube and brush. I can take photos of them separately if it helps. Thank you for your response!

Side note: I see you’re from Hawaii! Small world! I’ll be headed there this Christmas for vacation!

Oy vey, she's looking rough!

I'm going to lean towards selling it as-is. The main things that would make it a parts-only machine for me are the broken cyclone handle and latch, and the tabs busted off of the duct assembly (main housing) where the wand attaches to it for upright use. The hose would definitely need replaced as well, but that and the internal hose and brush aren't terrible. Plus if you wanted to sell it as refurbished, you'd want to replace the clutch assembly as well, it just uses flat belts that stretch out like any other.

Awesome!

Sucks that I am in Vegas right now. But nice that you're going to Hawaii, which island are you visiting? Anyways I hope you don't mind about the colors. The DC07 parts I have are yellow instead of the purple which your machine has. IMO I think that purple and yellow would look pretty cool.
