Hose end off. One side of the pivot for the release valve is broken, so needs replacing but will have to do for now!

All done! The whole lot was washed, dried and polished. The machine is in really good condition, just sadly a bit faded (although seen worse etc). Certainly the best one I've had in my collecting lifetime!
Put it back together last night and here it is ready for a test drive tonight

Just need to get some filters for it, and have been tempted by a BNIB turbobrush... Will have to wait until payday for that though!
