Do you think Dyson Appliances will go Up in Value after James Dyson has Died?

In years from now you will be lucky if ONE DC01 is still around, let alone enough to be still circulating.

I'm not bashing Dyson alone here, that goes for any modern "plasti-vac".

Maybe, but maybe not. It remains to be foreseen. Anyway, it's a bit early to say 'If James Dyson dies?' He's 65 and in good shape, he won't die anytime soon. He's my hero, and as a designer myself I look up to him. :)

I agree with you RootCyclone - as much as I may not like them (but I am slowly beginning to like them now though) I do admire James for what he has accomplished (e.g. managing to start his own company).

In a word

No. The amount of people in recent years who don't know who he is, or think he's American, whatever else they think, astounds me. I am old school.I recall life in a time when no man on the street knew anything about James Dyson. The availability of his older cleaners may be less so by the time he does die, but then many are thin on the ground already. If they are going to be sought after, I'm not convinced his death will increase that factor.

What a happy and joyful subject! :P

Just kidding. Good question though. I don't imagine they will do, but like others have said, they may be very hard to find at that time! Since they aren't the most "robust" machines. :P

and Jamie, what makes you think a DC01 wont be around in a few years? ITS the first Dyson that has tons of owners! I know one person on my street using a DC01 still to this day, it never gets maintained, only emptied and used, theres loads of DC01's in where I live, as well as DC04's and Jamie, PLEASE try a DC14 or DC07, atleast, you know you dont hate dyson, you liked your DC04, what was so bad about it? IT was a decent vacuum that was so popular like the dc01, and Dyson is one of the /uk's best selling vacs, so just try a dc07 or dc14 because they are the most powerful models

Did the value of Ford products increase following the death of Henry Ford? Some have increased in value in the decades since, but having nothing to do with the death of the company founder. Just an example.

Given the first and second laws of thermodynamics and the materials involved the question should really be and I quote, " Will there be any left? " " To be are not to be, that is the question." As Willie would say.

NONONONONON DONT try the DC41 or DC40 jamie you will hate it! The sealed suction is not real! The DC07 has the strongest suction at the ccleaner head, the DC14 is good but bulky and is better made than the dc07 pluis the dc40 and dc41 have flexible plastic! I hate it, its also flimsy, the dc41 has bristles as stiff as the dc07 clutched btw! I hate the DC41

Agreeing with Tayyab here. Don't like the DC41 either. If you want a ball model, go for the DC25. It's A LOT better built and an ACTUAL ball model as the roller ball moves like a ball does.

But the DC14 is still the best, Origin, Animal, Allergy, All Floors OR ANY of them! The 14 is the best. With the DC07 closely following behind. There both tough as a rock with great suction. Tayyab can vouch for me on this one!

On our Car Boot last time we went there was a DC14 (working) that sold for £12, don't know if that's good or not but it soon went, not surprised myself. But should have bought the DC03 that was £5.
