Pretty sure I've got it.
Been sick as a dog the past two and a half days. Feeling better today, no fever, good appetite. I had all the symptoms: fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, aches, discomfort. My mom and dad and one sister have it as well. Strangely, my sister that does NOT have it, is the one who's a nurse in a hospital dealing with infected people!
My dad had a fever on tuesday, but he was fine the next day. Then I stated coming down with a fever thursday night. Saturday, my dad started getting sick again, now on sunday he's got a fever again, but everyone else is doing better. Dunno what's that about.
My dad tried to get tested today, but they ran out of tests like as soon as they opened. He's gonna try to go super early tomorrow morning.
'This is not the flu' Well here's my thinking on that. What I had is pretty much just the flu... but much more annoying and more contagious. I was pondering the situation in my feverish delirium, and it occurred to me that under these strict quarantine and lockdown conditions... a strong strain of the virus would infect a couple people and then they'd get isolated. Whereas a weak strain might give someone the sniffles and it wouldn't be taken as seriously, and therefore would have more opportunity to be communicated to other people. With that logic, it makes sense why I got off pretty easy.
As for all these lockdowns and such... yeah it's ruining US. But yeah it's necessary. But also, yeah, it needs to end. Soon. There is a point where we won't be able to bounce back from this.
