Compact cord

I am posting this for a friend who has a Compact C8 the cord broke at the back of the vacuum near the motor and he wants to know how to get the vacuum apart to replace the cord i know you need to remove the bumper around the machine but how do you open it to access the motor and wiring inside . thanks

I think the 3 screws on the bottom, its in half pretty easily
