Christmas wish-list...

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Hey tanks Joe

I also wanted so bad a TOL AEG-Electrolux Ultraone like the one that Jack has shown in the first post or a Nilfisk GM80 but they're very expensive, maybe the next year.
Anyway I'll be happy as a child with a candy with one of those 8)

the AEG maximus is cool ive never seen something like it with the combo tool on the handle and a turbo nozzle and crevice in a tool compartment

Happy New Year, everyone!

Glad to see people have continued to contribute to this thread, and aside from the usual attention-seeker, everyone has managed to keep to the spirit with with it was intended!

Happy to say I've now acquired two of the cleaners from my wishlist (which I'll share in the next few days)... did anyone else get any of theirs over the Christmas period? If so, let's see some photos!

A cautionary tale...

Prompted by the discussion of the Hoover Freemotion above, I bought a brand new replacement for the one I used to own from Amazon just before Christmas. It was on offer for considerably less than it's RRP, and I wondered if maybe I'd just been unlucky with my previous one.

It arrived, I took it out of the box, snapped a few photos, then took it into the dining room to try it out. And encountered a problem... as you can hear from the video below, the 4 gaskets around the dustbox fail to make an airtight seal, so the cleaner shrieks when you try and use it on the higher power settings. I considered contacting Hoover's customer service dept. to get a replacement, but after hearing from two friends, both of whom had encountered exactly the same problem with exactly the same cleaner, I returned it to Amazon for a full refund!

Sebo Felix

Found a picture of the Sebo Felix Premium Navy I used to own - from a set of pics I took for the eBay listing when I sold it.

I wasn't keen on the hose set-up, but no complaints about use or performance in upright mode. I *personally* find this manual-with-guidance height adjustment system vastly superior to the automatic adjustment on the X-Series machines, but that's just my preference. Brushroll's a bit aggressive for some looped-pile carpeting, but aside from that, a great cleaner!

Where are all your X-mas presents guys?

...We want pictures!:P
What an awesome couple of vacuums Jack, Santa left me an Electrolux Ultrasiencer and finally after three years following it, the Miele Medicair, YAY!

I've post a video of the Ultrasilencer on youtube, check it out:

Hey there Kevin! Love this Electrolux! The 110 Volt Ultrasilencer Green is highly rated by Consumer Reports here as a great non-carpet cleaner.

Just curious - where does one store the crevice tool? You never see anyone on YouTube showing you this.

Hey Brian! Nice to hear you like it, the butterfly tool clips on the handgrip like most of the Luxes, but there's no place to store the crevice tool, so I store it on the box.

Gracias Kevin!!!!! :-)

Well that's a bummer! You'd think for the money you pay, they could at least have made a tiny slot somewhere on the vac to slide in a crevice tool! I mean it does not require design ingenuity to find a place to dig a slot for that slim little uncomplicated tool.

Love the machine, but that must be a little annoying, don't you think? :-)
