Kevin - yes, was a little on the pricey side, but I couldn't resist... I totally recommend it if you do decide to get one, it's worth every penny!

Al - The powerhead is certainly similar to the TwinClean's, but feels a lot sturdier, as one would hope for a cleaner of this price! It has a 'proper' brushbar, too.
It's a brilliant cleaner, more power than anything I've ever used. I'd say in terms of performance, design, and the feel of the build-quality, it at least matches, if not beats, a Miele Revolution. And as a huge Miele fan, I wouldn't say that if I didn't mean it! Miele's great advantage is their well-established reputation for long-term reliability - AEG-Electrolux is rather an unknown quantity in the UK that respect. Although as you know, the Revolution 500 series were notorious for powerhose failure.
I'll bring it along to our next meet-up so everyone can give it a try. It really has to be experienced before it can be fairly judged!
I've attached a link to a release from the Electrolux Press Dept., about the UltraOne series having topped consumer organisation testing in five countries. Which? gave one of the more basic UltraOne models a glowing review, but recently stripped all of the AEG-Lux models of their 'Best Buy' status, because they 'didn't receive enough data on reliability in their latest user feedback survey'... kinda stupid when they were happy to make ALL Miele S7 models Best Buys without ANY reliability data! They've refused to make Sebo's new cylinders Best Buys for the same reason, despite their good test results.[this post was last edited: 1/7/2011-23:52]
