Canister Vs. Upright

I dunno, the Whirlpool (therfore Maytag :P) dryers seem pretty powerful, a mate of mine said he got a Whirlpool top loader and dryer recently and claimed he needed to use a metal exhaust hose with the dryer rather than a plastic one (which all UK/european machines use to my knowledge) as apparently with the heat the machine gives off a plastic hose would melt, lol.

(and to drift slightly back onto topic, i've heard the term Eurekalux used (by Reggie lol) which is no doubt the same thing as Whirltag I suppose :P....god i'm only 19 and I don't understand the world anymore.)

Hi Ian. I do not know much about products in the UK except
Sainsbury's pork pies which I always liked when I spent a few summers in Sussex many years ago. Here in the US, nothing is what it seems to be. Toyota began as a Japanese car and now they are being made in the US with more American parts than say Ford or Chevy.
Maytag took over so many companies such as Norge, Admiral, Amana, Hoover, etc. In my opinion, after so many years of corporate greed and mismanagment, and operating at a deficit, Whirlpool came and gobbled up Maytag. It is the same here with banks and many other companies. Alot of competition is disappearing.
