Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Thats a

perfect response Tom , Tacony`s in business to sell to the public and collectors .

If they had to just sell to collectors they would be out of business .

These new machines will be amazing and will be a big hit to consumers and Vacuum shop owners all over the US .

Great Job and I cant wait to get mine .

Dan

Of course I want Riccar/Simplicity (Tacony) to do well.

But this isn't the vacuum for me.

So I'm still up in the air if I should get the classic Riccar Immaculate Premier or keep looking.

Maybe there was something at the VDTA I might be interrested in.

Do we as non-dealers ever get to see what was shown at the VDTA?

Hmmm. If it's that quiet, I might seriously think about getting one, and trading my Simplicity 6970 upright. That's a nice machine, but there's no brush roll shutoff for floors and it's pretty loud.

I'm looking forward to my local vacuum shop getting these in so I can test it out for myself.

Incidentally, I've found myself inadvertently acting as a local booster for Tacony sales - I've talked three of my neighbors into buying Simplicity instead of Dyson, and they're all happy (with a Moxie, a Synchrony and a Freedom).

I cant believe you waited this long to get a new machine. Nothing is perfect and going to be, but from all the things you claim over time you want in a vacuum, I think that Aerus Platinum Canister is the closest match. I have an Aerus Upright for a little over two years now and its not perfect and has some faults; but otherwise its simple to use, cleans well and is idiot proof. I do wish it was sealed and had direct connect tools and an LED headlight. I will agree with the above posts that durability is the most important, because the cleaning lady is a beast. She eats vacuums for lunch!

I might be trading or selling my Aerus Upright for a Tacony model, perhaps this new canister when I demo it, or going for the Radiance.

Does anyone know if the made the power nozzle quieter? It looks like a carry over, or did they pull a aerus and just rework the same looking head to make it quieter.

Tom said that the main unit is quieter than a model G and that's quite a feat, hopefully the nozzle is quieter to make it an all around quiet package. I hope this is a new direction for tacony since I'm not overly impressed with my riccar 1800

Yes the

Power Nozzle is quieter .

I never had a problem with the noise from my Riccar 1800 I think the machine is perfection I have nothing to complain about the Riccar .

My Aerus Platinum , same thing the power nozzle noise never bothered me it is how I have always remembered Electrolux/Aerus PN sound they have a distinct sound to them which I love .

Dan

I guess that's what bothered me with my 1800 is the PN was loud compared to the hushed noise of the canister.
Love the sound of my electrolux PN can tell the sound of one a mile away. My new guardian platinum with the "quieter" PN just doesn't have that classic sound sadly.

I know I'm going to ask my lux dealer if he can find me a platinum PN with the stainless on it, I like the look better. But still loving my platinum every time I use it , had it two weeks to the day lol.

Oh and FYI Dan my dealer said they are doing the quiet treatment to all the aerus PN 's now.

What is the difference between

Tom,

What is the difference between the Simplicity Tool It and the Wonder Canister WOW tool? I bought the tool it because it looks similar and am trying to use it on my Simplicity Symmetry Premium. Hose attached and metal button lock wands. I have only used it once, haven't quite got the hang of the way it maneuvers. Plus the wand size is a hair different. Tape on the wand where it is inserted into the tool will fix the little bit of looseness.

Thanks for your help,

I may bite the bullit!!!

I dont own anything newer than the early 70s , but I may just have to have one of these, if Tom had anything to do with the design, its got to be well made, running a vac shop gives you insight into what breaks most often!

I want to

get one of these vacuums too. Unfortunately I don't know where I would get one around this desolate state. We don't even have a Kirby, Rainbow or Aerus dealer in this state anymore. Maybe I will get lucky and get to buy mine directly from the Tacony factory, and from the vacuum king Tom Gasko. ( Dan.. Lost in Wyoming.)

slow to deliver.... we are wondering about the Wonder. Stock them and update your website. Definitely update your website, a glowing website is key to today's product marketing.

Any collector attending the Convention in June can purchase a Wonder (or Prima if you like the blue color) at our Factory Outlet Store.
