Hey y'all, I snagged this from the vacuum shop, do any of you need a NOS power head for a Bissell DigiPro canister? It's never even seen dirt and I was probably the first one to open the box! Make me an offer and I'll send it your way 😎

I could not find a pic of one.
I have never seen an L shaped power nozzle from Samsung. They had the PH90 which was closely based on the old GE power nozzle later used by Filter Queen and later they started selling this one you see.

Because parts for the Samsung power nozzles are long out of production and Samsung vacuums were popular in Canada, Hibbert International sold a hose that fit Samsung canisters that had a normal Samsung canister swivel end, what looked like a generic Aerus hose material but it had a different hose end with a spout that fit any central vacuum wand. With that set up you could use any central vacuum power nozzle like maybe a Lindhaus PB14 or Sebo ET350. Maybe that is what Panasonicvac saw?

I went a different way and put a Samsung neck into a Filter Queen CA-93 power nozzle. It fit perfectly. Samsung used large diameter upside down wands and their hose handle is female so you can't just plug a Samsung hose into any old wand. It worked but the F-Q power nozzle is wretched.

That is good to hear that is works but bad that it is bad to use. I can imagine that the Samsung is nice to use however it just looks low quality.
That Samsung nozzle is nothing special but at least it is easy to use and doesn't weigh a lot. If anything it could benefit for some strategically placed weight on the nose. The F-Q CA-93 power nozzle is unbelievably heavy and hard to push yet the agitation is not that good.

I wonder if anyone will every make a self propelled power nozzle.
In the late 1980s Panasonic offered what they called a "Dual Sweep" power nozzle with their premium canister models MC9537 and MC9540. The Dual Sweep power nozzles had a neck with just a wee bit of fore and aft play, and a microswitch in the neck that told a circuit board which direction you were pushing or pulling the nozzle. The motor had this big heavy clutch assembly and gear train that would change the direction the brush roll turned. The brush roll and sole plate are thick durable steel. Quality stuff. The switch from going forward to going backward and then going forward again was lightning fast and it really makes the nozzle easy to push. Ahem, which is a good thing because it weighed more than any power nozzle you have ever used, omg it is heavy and the length of the motor and drive line forced it to have a suction inlet way over to the side opposite the belt, much like an upright vacuum nozzle. It required a special belt made of thick silicon. The non-reversing version of that nozzle sold with the lower tier MC9500 series vacuums is actually easier to use, though still heavy compared to other brands of power nozzle.

Was just talking about it yesterday. I think it was back in 2004, I visited a relative's home and they had I could've sworn two Bissell machines. A Proheat upright in maroon if I recall and a canister (bagged I believe) that I thought looked a little more red. There was one thing it for certain had that I remembered, there were dirt sensor lights on the powerhead. Just like a Kenmore Progressive, there were three red lights and a green light. Also could've sworn that the nozzle was L shaped and had a headlight. But maybe it wasn't a Bissell and all this time it could've been this Kenmore. I don't think so, I usually have a pretty good memory. When I later saw pictures of the Digipro online, I thought to myself "Hey that looks like the one I used a few years ago but wait, I don't remember the powerhead looking differently." Either way, I'd love to find a Digipro someday. Even despite this review video, I'd love to have one for the collection.

I suppose the finish might look different in person to on camera. It just clicked that the shiny ones probably would match 2 different lift off uprights I have owned previously. They look fine in person but on camera they look cheap.

The Kenmore was clearly the popular buy for the same price back in the day. Fantomlightning's DigiPro is from 2010 (the fact Bed Bath & Beyond had a NOS machine is insane), and that was the year Bissell ceased production on the DigiPro according to buster1849.

Superior Vacuums in Calgary sells a very good quality synthetic HEPA dust bag for Samsung and Bissell vacuums that fits these as well. They also stock an exhaust HEPA filter.

Samsung got out of the North American vacuum market. They stopped making Quiet Storms about the same time, and from then on no parts support either. Try finding a brush roll for that Digipro. Only place that has them are Hibbert International in Canada and when those are gone that's it.
