Great

I’ll repost some of this info on the Electrolux groups and perhaps get on to a Kirby group too to post this for you. Hopefully you’ll get some more calls.

Yes, I would DEFINITELY want the XXX Caddy a switch, and a cordwinder. Any of those swivel locks of course and also if there are any Electrolux external PN wire wrap cords for the non electric hoses I’d be interested in those as the pigtail electric hoses are becoming a thing of the past. If they are on hoses, I don’t really want the hoses as usually they are bad unless vinyl.

Upright caddy’s…I know there were a few styles… the one with the port to attach the combo dusting brush on the back side is the optimal one I like.

Hi Jimmy,
I would be interested in buying one of the CB's in good condition. I've been hunting for one for a while. You wouldnt happen to have any LXI's would you? I have been hunting for one of those as well.

Jo,

UR caddy-I have a few with upright pigtail hoses. These would be new to near new.
Jason,
(Would the DMC refer to a rare car that we have seen at our Sat night car shows from someone who was better known for the letters G,T & O?)Will take a look at CBs soon. There should be a very nice brown one,a blue with a stain on tank and others in average used condition. Some have replaced plugs and/or cord. Not all have exhaust cover.May be an original CB box upstairs.Few if any original hoses.May have 1 or 2 XIIs,many XXXs,some LX,LXI and may have XX with no bag door.
Alex,
I agree. If any collectors need anything here spring and summer is last chance.I am working with 2 buildings which is 1 to many.I have buyers for old shop if it is EMPTY.(I have been using 2 standard Panasonics for carpet mats at door and agree they are a great upright.)

Thanks Jimmy! Let me know- I'm interested in those for sure. Yes, you are correct on the DMC :) My two passions are vintage Electrolux vacuums and DeLoreans. Not the best picture in the world but attached is what I call my "museum" where I keep my vacuums on display with the car. I've rebuilt several of the vacuums and also rebuilt the car from the ground up.

Ill send you a private message with my contact info if you want to text some pictures of any of it over.

Thanks!

Jason,

I have a few DMC owner magazines and biography/autobiography of Mr & Mrs JZD but unless they are duplicates I keep with my personal auto literature.Vacs look great.Bristol VA Elux factory had similar cases for older models.Do you have post WWII cans of moth crystal, wax, etc with XXX & LX pictures on them?Sorting CBs is number 3 on my list for the day but usually by 12 my day is hopelessly off schedule.
Doug,
XX would have handle IF I still have it.

Dustin,

FQ and at least 5 others are not gone but NEED TO BE OUT.1 is brown, most newer. Most are complete with power nozzle, some with worn hoses. Also have original FQ storage hassocks with picture of vac and attachments under lid. They need a new home! Maybe yours??

Hey Jimmy

I totally under stand that, I can plan my day and by the time I get to work I may not even be able to start on what I had planned for. On the tin cans, the only one I have right now is one of the Moth Crystals with the XXX on it. I'd be interested in some of those too though if you have any. I didnt realize they made them with the LX on them. I almost bought an Expello can recently for Electrolux machines but it was in such bad shape I passed on it.

Its funny you mention the cases in Bristol- when my local Aerus dealer and I were talking last he was telling me about how the cases looked similar to a display he saw in Kennesaw GA. I believe he said it was one of the Aerus offices there if I'm not mistaken.

Jason,

There should be an extra moth crystal tin. They seem to be the most common.Other tins had liquids with screw cap. There was a glass jar for shampoo and later a spray can for window cleaner.Still no final count on CBs but brown will be the nicest.

update

I spent part of the weekend upstairs at old shop.Found 1 & 1/2 brown CB hose & 1 gray hose for earlier CBs as well as box for CB2000.More Filter Queens hiding in corners & MUCH MORE Kirby stuff.

"--contact Aerus--of Richmond--"

I did.He has all he needs.
The most serious person I have talked to is a scrap metal guy.As I need these out it is almost time to open the back door and load his truck. If collectors don't care I no longer care.
Elux include above mentioned tanks (XXXs - Rennys),older & Discovery uprights, rug washers, newer shampoo/polishers,B-8s,B-6 & older polishers including a polished aluminum model & a Cambridge.Do any care what a Cambridge is?(A pre production Discovery with the experimental foot pedal handle release.)

"-Hoover stuff-"

Hoover will include, but not be limited to as more is being found--
MANY 'coffee can' uprights & MANY sets of Dusting Tools, hand vacs starting with first Dustette & later including brush Vac & Helpmate, tanks including Holiday style,MANY Constellations,40s-50s uprights,MANY Convertibles & hoses & telescopic(& other) wands,Swingette & later(many colors),Slimlines including with cordwinder/att rack,MANY Portables most with hose & att inside, polishers & shampooers(many colors),broom styles, non electric sweepers,Celebritys from parts machine to very nice,Hoover Z,dealer displays for UR atts & Brush Vac,BAGS-cloth,vinyl & paper, factory made dealer signs(think of an 8 foot bumper sticker) and MORE.

Hey Jimmy- Ill give you a call towards the end of the week to talk about some of the Electrolux machines. I'm interested in the CB's, LX, LXI's as you come across them. Maybe we can work out something where I can just buy a pallet of them shipped if thats something you are interested in doing.

He won't ship, he expects people to rent a truck and make the drive down there. I asked him 3 yrs. ago about a few attachments and that's what he told me. I live 630 miles away - thats about 3 or 4 day's drive and UHAUL would charge about $1,700 for that much mileage. It's not at all feesable or practical unless you live within his state.

Many collectors sell their vacs & parts on eBay and make serious bank. The one collector I have been following cleared over $900 in just 2 weeks selling old vacs that have not even been restored, $30-$50 for shipping, and people have snatched them up like crazy. He sold virtually every vacuum he put up. 1930's hamilton beach with no handle, no cord, no bag, went for $40 alone. Some Kenmores from just 10 years ago grabbed $60 a pop.
