<span style="font-size: large; font-family: times new roman, times;">Hi All. I went to the car boot last Sunday and when I was there I picked up this....  A Hoover Jet!</span>

<span style="font-size: large; font-family: times new roman, times;">I quite like it. It reminds me of the 80s Goblin cylinders with the same style dust box.</span>

<span style="font-size: large; font-family: times new roman, times;">And since it came with the original box I bought it. I gave it a quick clean. It wasn't that dirty. But the dust box was full.</span>

It's from around 1990, and not only did these look very much like the ever-popular Goblin Rio, they also used the same motor as the earlier Rio cleaners. There can be no doubt that Hoover launched these to compete with the Goblin, yet one saw so few of them around, unlike the Goblin. Having said that, the Goblin was of course around for much longer, both before and after the Jet.

Hi,

<span style="font-size: large; font-family: arial black, avant garde;">Hi Sam, Yes it has the same hose grip as the later Porta power.</span>

<span style="font-size: large; font-family: arial black,avant garde;">I think I have a sales brochure with the Jet in it.</span>

<span style="font-size: large; font-family: arial black, avant garde;">I'll have to get the serial number off it to confirm the date it was made.</span>
