Welcome to Vacuumland and I hope you are taking full advantage of Archive Searches and the various forums. There is a lot to offer here.

This thread is a rarity and not a commonality here. Hundreds if not thousands of collectors over time have posted in this forum over the years spreading their knowledge and sharing their vacuum collection passion with all. This thread is rare and not what VacuumLand should be taken for.

I feel you should post as much as frequently as you like to the appropriate topic area based on the kind of vacuum you have. We look forward to it.

I haven't been on this near as much as I was in the beginning when I first realized that vacuum collecting was "A Thing" and that was back around 2012. My aggressive work schedule and managing some Facebook vac groups make it hard for me to get over here but I still pop in on occasion. I like the FaceBook arena a lot as it is people posting daily with what they used that day and I watch their videos.

Alex Taber, I wish the same for you. Stay with the group and continue to post and share your vacuum collecting passion. The viciousness should vanish.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Welcome to the group. Please don't be put off by a what has been going on in this post.

Also don't be reluctant to post your interest in any vacuum of your liking. It is true that we all have our vacuum of choice, It is not uncommon to agree to disagree on the value of any particular make or model.

The only way we can keep this site fun, inviting and informative is to just keep posting and keep in mind how we would like to be treated over our own thoughts and treat others here the same.

Think in terms of a carpenter. Measure twice and cut once. IE think twice about what you are about to post. In the end you will have a good chance of keeping a thread going with out all the drama.

Nah don't worry about it Rett. People's vacuum posts usually are always positive. Whatever is happening in this thread is personal between 2 or 3 members from something that happened off the website in their own homes and has nothing to do with Vacuumland as a whole.

There is a lot of members on this site, and there has been a lot of new members born in the late 90s and early 2000's joining which is a great sign for the website, and it gives diversity in interest topics as well. So for every someone that doesn't like that particular vacuum there might be a handful of other people that do.

Hi Durango.159.

Rest assured I'm not going anywhere, but if I renew next year is still a guess. I've seen more drama with both the VCCC and Vacuumland than you can shake a stick at. I go with the username Caligula because he was the mascot for the VCCC. Caligula in Latin means little boots, I named him that for the gold fur on his paws.

While there have always been hissy fits, name calling, insults, and so on, it should NOT be a part of this group. It saddens me when I see my friend John Long treated with this type of disrespect. The work he has done over the years is truly amazing. He has done an outstanding job resurrecting the Newsletter, and I know the work involved. So I hope we can get this derailed train back on track and stop this madness. The focal point should be our love of the vacuum cleaner, not the bickering and backstabbing.

This thread is on the main forum of this website. It's not what I want to read or see when I log on.
There is substance behind everything but this thread is not about vintage vacuums. If you wonder why quality and content have declined this thread is a great example.
I want to talk about vacuums.
If the moderators read this (my posts are probably the most "moderated" person on the forum) this is not what people want to see on this website period.

Yes welcome, this is definitely not a common thing to happen here and please enjoy all you can learn

@huskyvacs- this is not something that is personal, this is something that happened between 2 groups of collectors and how some can’t let go of the past when the past should be left in the past. please know and understand the facts before making your statements so that they don’t cause more arguments.

Alex- it’s so good to see you posting as we don’t see a lot from you. You have so much to offer in the way of knowledge of the original VCCC and numerous brands of cleaners. It’s always good to see things from you.

Les- this thread shouldn’t have even been created but apparently this was someone’s intent.

@ultralux88

Many of us would like it to end here and NOW !!!!!

The only way to put and end to this on going argument is for ALL parties directly concerned to STOP the the argument.

Or take it up in private messages to one another as suggested.

Lets start acting like adults and not two year old's over something most of us know very little about or even care.

As several stated they left for a while only to find the soap opera continues and the drama over it is anything but entertaining much less fun.

Let's get back to talking about what it is we are here to discuss. OUR VACUUM CLEANERS!

Finally some one said it !!

Here to talk about vacuum take the drama some were private or leave this page period admin neeed to take this post down end it once and for all period be adults or leave simple yes your right above .
