A GE you dont see all that often...

This came out in 1963 and was the first to use the Twin Clean rug tool with floor brush insert, The switch sticks up from the bumper and should have the GE logo, also the first GE to use the more powerful 830 watt motor, the model before this was the much loved green and chrome machine.

My first Swivel-Top, only mine came with a bad motor!

My swivel top is very similiar but I have a separate floor brush instead of an insert. I also replaced the hose as the woven hose was leaking considerably. With the new hose, the suction is amazing. The only thing I don't like is that the motor is quite loud and the front wheel does not swivel too freely.

The snap in floor brush was popular ,so they went back to the separate one fairly soon, yes a GE is LOUD, but what a good motor!!!if you will put a drop of sewing machine oil on the swivel part of the front wheel, it will help.That rug tool is in my opinion, one of the best straight suction tools ever made.

Oh I have the snap-in brush that came with my Brown-And-Cream Swivel-Top, I see why it didn't stay long, it's pretty awkward to use!
