to think GE went from that to the GE Affinity turbofan aircraft engine!!

Tell me something. If you had to ship it, how would you do it and what do you think it would cost?
TIA

Hmm

I knew what your vacuum looks like as my model is similar except wood handle in the middle. I don't know if Tom will tell you but I shall. If the handle comes apart it would be the notch about an inch up. Take the handle wrap in bubble wrap. Take it out it inside the bag and bubble wrap the bag. The motor unit bubble wrap the wheels. Your box will be ling l. Shaped. The cord has 2 leads that are on the motor housing. The handle when you detach it have the cord unhooked. You could ship it in two boxes one for the handle the other 14x12x10 10 lbs is my guess on it.
I did ship a Riccar supralite Tom told me how to ship it. FedEx is probably your best bet. Pirateship. Come is free you save quite a bit. You have to box it and print the label yourself to get good rates. I'm guessing $40 to $50. EBay takes you to the Cleaners.

If you can get someone here to buy it, you could go through Offerup. Its my preferred way of doing it, as I have shipped HUGE boxes for $13 or so due to the special usps deal they have. I have done large, heavy boxes through them, you could do it for about the same price with that ge. The rates are fixed throughout the usa and i think the highest is $30(which will take a lot to get there).

Here's the pic of when I got my AV-1.

The handle unplugs from the socket at the base of the yoke. The box came out to 13lbs at 27x17x9. They shipped the handle in a separate mailing box USPS priority mail. Not sure on the handle, but that was a flat rate tube. The vacuum base was shipped UPS Ground.

The shipping for the handle was $10.80
The shipping for the vacuum itself was $23.65
Plus the $10 the seller wanted for the vacuum
It was $44.45 all together that I paid for mine.
Keep in mind this was 2 years ago and it was going from just Ohio to Indiana so it wasn't as far as Los Angeles to anywhere else.
