    FOUND THIS IN MOTHERS CUPBOARD.

From the ratings sticker I'm gathering it's from 2006, so not massively collectible and likely to be of no interest to any collectors on here.

A decent "best buy" reccomendations from Trusted Reviews.

Chris It was mentioned above by Alex, he quoted the bit when Bill is in the hospital complaining about 'Bloody Thatcher'.

A Very Poorly Written "Article" Regarding The Hoover Vortex

OK. Fair enough. I just thought that they'd offered a slightly higher spec model for Allergy sufferers like they did with the S Class Purepower, or it could be to try to compete with Dyson's Absolute range.

A Very Poorly Written "Article" Regarding The Hoover Vortex

Well I cannot argue with you considering you were there, so there you are.   The only question I have from your response is if it was introduced to solve the filter issues, then why is it for sale at the same time as the white one?

A Very Poorly Written "Article" Regarding The Hoover Vortex

Chris I'm sorry but I disagree with you. The red one was an upgrade of the white one, and they were available at the same time.   Here is a scan from sebo_fan's 1999-2000 catalogue that shows both of them sold together.

A Very Poorly Written "Article" Regarding The Hoover Vortex

Chris The TOL Vortex at the time of release was the V2001 in red, which was just a V2000 but with an S Class Filter. This was available at the same time as the original V2000 and the V1500 I think it was.   I agree this article is terribly composed and one-sided. Of course, lest we forget...

    green hoover purepower u3330 001

Vintagerepairer. You mention labour costs in that, in 2007 the PurePower range was assembled in China instead of in Cambuslang, enabling the cheaper price.

    gold/brown dyson dc07

This model was not part of the British line up. You can tell by the sticker on the wand and the non-colour co-ordinating tools.

    gold/brown dyson dc07

Tayyab. It's not a a British model, the Animal DC07 was launched in 2003, long after the movement of production.

    Panasonic MCE 42N

Well! If you get that machine you will not be dissapointed Tayyab! The best person to ask about this is Chris, as he is like the God of Panasonic vacuums, there isn't anything he doesn't know about them! I have an MCE 44, which is the slightly later, slightly lower spec version of this...

1997 Hoover PurePower U3142 Help Needed!

Right Thanks for the advice Alex. Well, I've got a scrap Dust Manager that has lots of battered and cracked plastic, and clogged up to Kingdom come. So I'm hoping to be able to use the chassis off the Dust Manager and put it on the PurePower. So how do I remove the chassis from both the...

Right Well, in the lot that this came in there was a Dust Manager that has cracked plastic and stinks of dog, so would it be a good idea to try the chassis from the Dust Manager in the PurePower? Thanks.

1997 Hoover PurePower U3142 Help Needed!

Hello!   I've managed to acquire an early Hoover PurePower amongst a joblot of eleven vacuum cleaners. It's a U3142 from October 1997 (9740) so it's a very early model. It has variable power control as well as a bag full light. It's also in a bright green colour.   So, it, amongst all...
