Go ahead and tell me about yours. This Kenmore was given away and replaced with this Dyson in 09. How I miss the Kenmore. Still trying to get another. :)

George, for some reason I thought you said you had the earlier red Widetrack, not the green one?

Anyway, this was mine. Panasonic MC-E44 bought in 1992 (on the left) and is still a part of my collection. We also had a Kirby Legend 2 from 93 onwards, but that never got much use as my mother didn't like it.

Had it from new in 1997 or 1998 and lasted till approx 2001 when it broke. Still worked though. It replaced our old Vax 121 which broke. A Hitachi bagless cylinder (very powerful, 1400W) replaced this, it blew up after 2 months, then got a Vax 6140 pets, lasted 2 years then got a new DC04 silver lime which we still have.

That's awesome another thing I'd with it is that I kept it in my room when I was a child

My mum had several. Her first one from what I can remember was a blue (upright) DirtDevil. That was wabout 2000 (ish) to about 2005 ish. I can't remember it's model number..I'll try and find a picture later.

When that one burnt out she got a Electrolux CyclonicLite.About 2005 ish When that one burnt out she got a Vax Cadence that was back in about 2008 - present. It hardly gets used anymore since I took over with my vacs :P

She also had an Electrolux "Super 1000"(model Z1800) I think I might have a thread on here I'm not sure. That was my Grandmas but got passed down to her when my mum moved. That went side by side next to her DirtDevil and her other lux until it burnt out.

I would love to try and get those Lux's in my collection one day.

My parents bought one of these when I was 12 years old in 1965. I played with it (vacuumed) every chance I got. A couple of years ago I won this one one on ebay and have restored it. This is my photo of my restored Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50.

I had a few...

The earliest vacuum I owned was a Eureka Ultra ESP. It was our main vacuum until we got something even better.

From an infomercial, we got the incredible Fantom Fury! From that point, the Eureka was used to clean out the fireplace.

Unfortunately, the Fantom had to go when we moved to our current house in the summer of 2001. At that time, we got a Dirt Devil Swivel Glide Vision. That vacuum also came with a bonus "Swift Stick."

I would love to try and find another Fantom Fury one day.

Below are some pics. I got the first picture off of a post from a member on here. I hope they don't mind; I am just trying to show which vacuum I used to own. The rest of the pictures were found on Google.

First Vacuum

The first vacuum I remember was actually purchased the year I was born! I am 35 this year and still have it! It runs awesome still! My mom's Electrolux Olympia One with the Lake Placid Winter Olympics logo on it! She used it right up until I have her a NIB UltraLux 2000 a few years ago. You simply cannot kill that old thing, but I'm very glad to have it for sentimental reasons, even though I still have both my mom and dad! Note, the vacuum in the photo is mine, but not my mom's, the pic is strictly for reference!

Ours was a Hoover Model 28. I think it was purchased right after World War II. Lovely brown beast.

We always had Hoovers

Except for one Kirby Tradition that I still have. We had 2 Dial-A-Matics at one point, a blue Ranger Convertible, a blue Convertible (normal hood w/ headlight), an orange commercial Decade, a Red Concept One, several Quik-Brooms, We also had some kind of Hoover canister from the 80a for above-the-floor. Both sets of my grandparents always had Hoover's too and I still prefer Hoover to most others (vintage Hoover's of coarse). Although I did just by a brand new TaskVac, even though it's a totally different brand now.

i had one of those electrolux wide tracks as a kid a green one i think it was a smartvac ive got a black one now the wide track 1000

My moms vacuum was a Hoover Celebrity IV power matic whit the blue power nozzle . My grand ma had a compact c8 and i finally have my own compact c9 now on the hunt for the hoover tho .
