    Oreck "HALO" vacuum

I have to admit Oreck is not a machine that has been on my wish list (and I don't know anything of this latest halo thing), although I do have to say I had an opportunity to try that top of the line one like Morgan has, and thought it seemed fine. It's much quieter than the others. If it were...

    Anyone recognize this Convertible?

That's about the date I was thinking too, Swingette. I think with regard to the tools, it could be he is referring to the Eureka style "front conversion", which was a departure for Hoover as compared to previous convertibles.

    Anyone recognize this Convertible?

Thank you, Swingette from both of us! How fun to see this literature!

    Anyone recognize this Convertible?

A friend was wondering about this cleaner, and I'm not sure where my handy dandy guide is right at the moment. Anyone recognize it? I'm thinking it's more "latter day" as far as Convertibles go, and I actually think there were more of this ilk in Europe than in the US, though I could always be...

Yay! I got to bring home a new Miele upright!

Awesome Fred! I bought this same one Saturday I have not been here in ages and I was scratching my head at your handle, good thing you posted your picture (LOL)! Anyway, I pretty much made up my mind when I found out about these that I was going to buy one, so when I went on the website over...

    GE Swivel-Top Canister Model P1C18

That's really nice Louis! From Collector2s picture it seems to be a later swivel top, owing to the design of the rug nozzle. I seem to recall seeing one like it before. They had some really cool designs.

    Dave and Petes March micro-meet

Oh my goodness, Pete. Sorry to have raised a sore subject. On a brighter note, you seem to have many other wonderful things that have stood the test of time and dependability! So glad you were able to enjoy this fun weekend. Having a collection is such fun when someone comes and enjoys it with...

    New Miele Upright Vac!!!

Well, thanks for the additional pictures! Apparently the rebadged uprights were not sold over there, since it says "first ever" uprights. I like how it uses many of the same ideas as the canister (cylinder?). The lowest speed might be nice for some scatter rugs I have about the place. If it...

    Dave and Petes March micro-meet

Lots of fun stuff and fun times had by all, it seems! Glad you found your Westinghouse bowls. I had one of those for a while. Fun to see the vintage Kenmore in such nice condition with all its pieces. That is a nice size power nozzle, Sears really had something with its cleaner line for many...

    Eureka Ironside Pics

Very nice buddy! I've never actually seen one like that before with the covered tools and so forth, and wasn't surprised to learn it was a later one. Talk to ya soon!

    New Miele Upright Vac!!!

Ah yes Mike, will look forward to catching up soon! Hope to get back over the pond sometime this year! Been too long. Do you have the same cylinder as before, or have you upgraded? 2200 watts? Bloody h*ll with that I could vacuum my own carpets and the downstairs neighbor's in one pass! Good...

    Sunday finds.

Aeoliandave, those are wonderful vacuums! They're heavy, but quite maneuverable on their wheels, very quiet and powerful! I've seen them under the names Electro Hygiene, Royal, Sani-way and Kingston. I remember a Kingston in a tannish brown, and a blue Royal.

    My new daily driver!

Forget the extra room, you better see if you can wheedle your neighbor out of the house next door as a vacuum house! (LOL) Logan this is just over the top awesome! I don't come in this modern section that often (I just plain forget usually) but I guess I will need to more often! There is just...

    Kenmore Heavy Duty Vacuum

Logan, when you finish your deck, better start adding on another room (LOL). I love when my friends find cool stuff! Let us know what you think of it. Sears offered this type of cleaner for many years. There were some interesting colors and bag designs on some of the non-commercial ones in the 70s!

Birthday Self-Gift Has Arrived!! Brand-New Kirby Sentria

Fred, that's fantastic! Enjoy! I was just talking to Terry or someone in Florida that I was wondering what the latest Kirby was like since I hadn't really kept up, and now I've seen it. I really like the look of it, and if it's lighter that's a good thing!

    Electrolux Model G Electric Hose

The floor brushes are new to me too I forgot to mention, I didn't realize that floor brushes of that type were offered at that time, I thought they only had the reversible ones then. I am guessing those only came in the white bristle, probably intended for hardwood floors and such? Cool!
