Something I think is incredibly rare...

So, I have just picked up a... Kirby Commercial. It looks like a Heritage, but the power head is non removable and there is a hole cut in the front of it to access the belt. The bagger is enormous and uses a clamp to hold the top shut instead of a zipper or an emptor like others of the time...

    Replacing A Dead Bissell

Recommendation Hi Tyler. For your needs: not vacuuming every day, medium to low pile... I wouldn't recommend a new Kirby. Kirby's are fantastic, don't get me wrong, but a new one at around $1500 is a lot of money for something you're only going to use weekly. If you don't mind the weight of...

OK, now the fun begins ... Building a Sentria

Actually, Kirby has come out and said that they will be changing the Sentria to a new color in 2012, but hasn't said what color. There is also a lot of rumors running around that the new Avalier will be coming in 2014, so you have a couple years.

    How good are Miele vacuums?

The only experience I have had with Miele is a S142 I bought used a few months ago. I can honestly say that it had spectacular suction and was the quietest vacuum I have ever owned. It was quite heavy, and not terribly versatile, but if it had a decent PN on it, it would have been tremendous...

Why do Moulded Plugs get so much bad press from you guys ?

Maybe this is just a problem with 220 Volt models in Europe...

    DC41 AD IN UK!!

I've had the opportunity to use a DC41 here in the states and can say that it cleans ok, much better than most dysons I've used. It is also much quieter, and the wand attachment is a much better design. There is also a new floor nozzle attachment that is spring loaded so that it hugs right...

    Does anyone have a...

I have a thunder for sale. Needs a hepa filter and a good cleaning, but otherwise should work great.

    Check this out!

He probably put in two too many zeros at which point it really would be a great price.

Anybody seen one of these before?

It would appear to be two sanitaires literally bolted together complete with separate bags, handles, etc. It is missing the steel bottom plates though, but otherwise just looks like two sanitaires bolted together.

    What the heck is that?

    NOS Vac

That would appear to be a rare bird. I looked up the picture for it and it looks like an old Fantom but with a dual cyclone. I would hold that one highly prized.

    Dumpster Royal Canister

What an awesome dumpster find! I would love one of those. I understand the suction is phenomenal and with a good PN like that, it will probably clean great.

How many of us sell vacuums?

There has long been a relationship between vacuums and sewing machines. I think this is because of the Singer thing, but also because they are also domestic oriented appliances. If you've noticed, many of us here also enjoy washers and dryers, mixers, electric fans, ranges, etc. There is a...
