So, I have just picked up a... Kirby Commercial. It looks like a Heritage, but the power head is non removable and there is a hole cut in the front of it to access the belt. The bagger is enormous and uses a clamp to hold the top shut instead of a zipper or an emptor like others of the time...

Simple You want to reduce noise and dust but want a high end cleaner. Simple solution. Miele 7580. Superior hepa filtration, quiet, great carpet grooming, fantastic build quality. Should run you 700-800 bucks. Some of the best money you'll ever spend.

Actually, Kirby has come out and said that they will be changing the Sentria to a new color in 2012, but hasn't said what color. There is also a lot of rumors running around that the new Avalier will be coming in 2014, so you have a couple years.

The only experience I have had with Miele is a S142 I bought used a few months ago. I can honestly say that it had spectacular suction and was the quietest vacuum I have ever owned. It was quite heavy, and not terribly versatile, but if it had a decent PN on it, it would have been tremendous...

I've had the opportunity to use a DC41 here in the states and can say that it cleans ok, much better than most dysons I've used. It is also much quieter, and the wand attachment is a much better design. There is also a new floor nozzle attachment that is spring loaded so that it hugs right...

It would appear to be two sanitaires literally bolted together complete with separate bags, handles, etc. It is missing the steel bottom plates though, but otherwise just looks like two sanitaires bolted together.

That would appear to be a rare bird. I looked up the picture for it and it looks like an old Fantom but with a dual cyclone. I would hold that one highly prized.
