    Lost my love for Kirby...

Royal 889 Ben, Just checked my computer and I don't have any pictures of my Royal 889. I will have to go down to my storage shed and take some pictures and post them for you. I'll try and do that this weekend. Justin

Lux 9000 Guardian C134F Help Please...

I just picked up a VERY used Aerus Electrolux Guardian 9000, model C134F, and it needs rather a lot of work. Chiefly, a new cord winder and foot pedal. I need to ask those of you with experience with these newer Lux machines is this repair fairly easy or will I need to take it to the local...

RARE American Lincoln Super Sweep flea market score!

Here is my Super Sweep... I just wanted to share a picture of my new Super Sweep, aka 'The Green Goddess', I bought from Adam Michael Mercer. Just got it on Friday. Added a new green Open-Top bag, mounted on a Heritage II Mini Emtor and a new black cord. You can tell she has seen a lot of use...

    My Vintage Mixer Collection!!!

It followed me home... Today was my Day Off so I went out for the afternoon to do some shopping and have a little bit of lunch, it was sunny and warm so I left my jacket at home and I even wore my sunglasses. I stopped in at the local thrift store to see what vacuums they had... and nothing...

    The Kirby's Invade....

Nice!!! Mike and Evan, That's a beautiful collection you have there. Watch out, Kirbys tend to multiply and that eleven can easily turn into twenty-two over night and before you know it the house is full of them. This has happened to me...and I love it. Best wishes, Justin and my many, many Kirbys

    What Would You Have Bought?

That's a tough question... I was born in the summer of 1972. I would have had a very tough choice between a Kirby Omega and a top of the line Eureka Box-Top upright. I think I'd have bought both...I just can't choose between two wonderful, powerful machines.

    Some More Vacuums For Sale

ComVac How much are you asking for the Kirby Comvac? I'm sure it's well out of my price range, but I just have to ask. Maybe I can save a bit after the first payment on my new car. Justin ps. Drooling over the Comvac... I'm so envious.

    kirby legend 2 polishing

I have had some success with 0000 extra fine steel wool and Mother's Aluminum Mag Polish. I know that you need an electric polishing wheel to get the mirror-like finish, but if you don't have something like that try the steel wool and Mother's Polish. Justin

Have You Ever Used A Typewriter?

I find the sound of a type-writer, being used by a fast typist, very comforting. All of my early short stories were written on a Brother Portable Electric Typewriter. And just in case this computer thing does not work out I plan to keep my typewriter. Justin ;)

    Kirby Sanitronic 7 Handel Trouble

Is there a reason that you don't want to just replace the upper part of the handle? You do know that the whole handle unit is three seperate pieces. Check ebay, you should be able to find the handle grip with cord hook fairly easily.

    OMG! Way over the Rainbow......

I think I paid $65 got my D3 at a thrift store three years ago or so. Since it worked really well and I just needed to replace the hose, brush roll and belt... oh, yeah. I did have to order all of the attachments and a tool caddy. But, still. I think I got a good deal.

    Brand New never used Frankenlux

I think this is a case of someone who thinks mom's old vacuum is worth a fortune due to it's being old. I sent the seller an email telling them that it's just not worth that much money. It's not in it's original box, lacks it's original paper work... and oh, yeah... it has a broken wheel. I bet...

    Electrolux model 1205

Clearly jd1234 only wants to make 'bank' and does not care about anything else. He does not understand anything about value verses worth. Since he can't get a boat load of money for his 1205 he is going to take his anger out on the vacuum. That's just sad. I hate to see a good vintage vacuum...
