    riccar starbright

I have the prima with the power nozzle. It's such a well rounded, great performing machine. You can't go wrong with any of the riccars.

Just Moved to Denver: Local Kirby Owners & Distributors?

Don't even bother with the distributor. Email or call Kirby direct, and like rob said they will rebuild it for you. I called last year ,out of curiosity, for a price on a g-6 rebuild, and Kirby quoted me $350 plus shipping.

Looking for a Nice Packard Vacuum Cleaner

That machine looks a lot nicer, than I thought it would. Usually, when somebody gives something away, it's pretty beat up. What store do you own.

    Rainbow se

I'm not gonna buy it. I have 220 out in my garage, but not in my house. Good eye Tom. I prefer the new one with the illuminated water basin. I'd like to get the 15' hose like you have, Tom.

If your looking for the lowest price on a new one, get one on eBay. They last forever, so the warranty isn't a issue for most people. And even if you do encounter a problem, YouTube has a video for Almost any repair. Very easy to work on, and parts are cheap. There's one on eBay, nib for $719.

    bag change. WOW!

I notice That with my Kirby sentria 2. When I change the bag, the motor noise changes on 4 instead of 3.

the best nozzle for cleaning hard floors

Sean I agree with you on the simplicity/ riccar nozzle. It is the best one I've ever tried. Even the build quality is superb. The shark hard floor genie does a wonderful job too, although it does feel kind a cheap.

    Rainbow se

I'm thinking about buying this rainbow. Seems like a pretty good deal. How do these ones perform. I really don't need another vacuum, but I always wanted a rainbow.

Good idea. I'll Have to try putting some weight on the front of mine. Don't get me wrong, it gets the floor cleaner than anything else I've tried.

    Got a new Floormate!

I agree With you on the floormate deluxe. I bought a manufacturer refurbished model for $50 on eBay. It leaves a lot of the water on the floor. You have to go over it a few times in the dry setting to get the water up.
