    My New Sebo Felix!

Also... ...the bag looks a bit bigger than an Electrolux cylinder bag. Very respectable. And a true top fill design as well.

    My New Sebo Felix!

I was wrong, Corey. That agitator is just as you described. That machine is beautiful, and one of the very few select contemporary models i would like to have myself.

    Some Hoover pics

I was gonna upload these here but my photo editing/resizing software gave them a horrible grainy look. The sequence is BACKWARDS. I've lots to learn! Any ideas on how to share hi-res photos? Enjoy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/10202581@N03/

Micro-lined makes excellent Hoover y bags, IMO.

    Micro Lined Bags

just responded on another thread about this. results must vary by model of machine. ive only had excellent results with "Micro-Lined" bags, though i think ive only had a chance to use hoover type A and eureka F&G. i think there is another brand different from Micro-Lined called micro liner? ive...

    Micro Lined Bags

...and other aftermarket bags... the Microlined brand bags are generally excellent. the maker of Microlined bags (dvc?) makes high-quality stuff. i cant say much about other manufacturers. they vary widely. the only OEM bags that MAY surpass Microlined quality are Miele or Electrolux. what...

A Garage Full of Vacs, Part 2

Chad, isnt the paint and body on that Sunbeam in great condition, considering how beat down the innards were?

    Replacing motor brushes

the tricky part is seating them properly. the carbon must make smooth contact with the copper bars. abrasive sticks are available that help the carbon conform perfectly to the curve of the commutator. carbons on Hoovers are generally long lasting. unless the commutator is sparking or there is...

    Hoover Elite Commerical

Very cool machine. Where was that one made? I havent seen a model that looks quite like that one. That may be one of the last US made models. One thing to like about these is the cleaning ability. Anyone who thinks these do a poor cleaning job doesnt know what they are talking about!

    Beginner question about 1920s Hoovers

with a little work the brush strips on classic Hoovers CAN be rebristled. and new brush strips do pop up here and there. the ball bearings, when cleaned and greased, can usually be brought back to full service. seems the biggest issue with the pre-30s Hoover agitators is the metal itself. i...

    Hoover vs. Kirby

my issue with the Kirby drive is that if the machine didnt have the drive in the first place, it would be lightweight enough to not need it. Considering the g series has been out now for almost twenty years, they must be doing many things right. Consumer Reports has, for years, given the G an...

    What would it take?

I think this will work. You can also get a fill tube that will fit inside the Traditions emptor, but i think the original design has airflow issues. Im sure the Kirby gurus will chime in...

    Lubricating the motor and brushroll...

I have that same Miele with PN. Surprisingly quiet and powerful. I wish the replacement brushrolls for the nozzle were easier to find at a reasonable price!

I'm back with my weapons of grit destruction!!

Ooh a model 63? Thats a nice one to have. From back when Hoover was first class. This machine was featured in Joan Crawford's "Female on the Beach" and was the first Hoover to use what would become the notorious "C" bag. Quiet-running, powerful and heavyweight!
