This is a ........ continuing dilemma for me. I rebuilt the motors on both one G and one 1205. Both sound fine, but the G out-pulls the 1205 in the postcard test. Short of buying tools/gauges to test the two, it would be nice to know that the G just has a stronger suction. Both have new LUX...

Best solution..... of course would be NOS mounts. I'm not sure making a rigid joint with epoxy is the way to go. Maybe you could fab up your own mounts if you study how they are made...providing you can't find  the OE mounts after all this time. You should also examine the motor bearings...

You can..... find some clear, shrink material to make your old hose like new. A member here mentioned using it. Not cheap, but there's no way the hose will leak over time or stretch out. Nice solution for a collection-ist.  For me since I'm using the vacs, I just buy a new LUX hose and call it...

Sorry..... didn't mean to discourage you! There are printers that will do this. For example, there is a gal printing out the logo and operating instruction sticker for old TroyBilts...for about $40.  Some will take the chance, other will not.....shop around. I also have old chainsaws...same...

I see.... 1205's! Any LUX motors in boxes that you are aware of? If those 1205's haven't been underwater/trashed, I'd like them for parts....assuming they're all there. Literature looks nice, but I'm not into that yet.   Kevin
