NEVER !!..... ....launder bags in a washing machine! It can and will destroy them. Tepid water with a mild solution of Woolite then VERY GENTLY hand wash - works best. Do not wring or brush. Rinse carefully in cold water. NEVER wring out a bag. Hang out or in the shower and allow to drip dry...

    Hoover 700 motor disassembly?

700 rubber bumper... The vac supply houses might have some bumper material. However, if you're a purist, you might want to look for a junk 700 series with a decent bumper.

    Hoover 700 motor disassembly?

Shining Coffee Cans Most of the coffee-can Hoovers, which would include the model 700, were finished in bright polished aluminum and can be re-polished. A couple exceptions might be some earlier and more primitive models with rough-castings (as shown). Then there was the model 541 in 1923 that...

Which were the first and last Henry Dreyfuss Hoovers?

Jim... ...may have hit a temporary road-block. Dreyfuss' autobiography "Designing for People" Simon & Schuster, New York, 1955, may shed some light on the question.

Which were the first and last Henry Dreyfuss Hoovers?

Jim... I believe as well that Dreyfuss designed for Hoover long before the introduction of the 825. I heard it, I read it somewhere but can't remember because it was several years ago. The artistic bag logos on the early models were obviously the works of some good artist - why not neighbor and...
