    Electrolux paraphernalia experts-Help please...

Electrolux Banks I don't know much about the Electrolux banks aside from the fact they are very cool. I have looked at them on eBay myself. They are simply the cutest things.

    The beginning of my collection

Nice Vacs! Michael, Hello from Allentown! You have a great collection there, very Diverse. I am new to collecting and have 5 machines, all Electrolux. They are favorites of mine. Now looking to get a couple hoovers, would like a convertible with the headlight and funky bag, and a...

    General Electric Model R 1 ROLL-EASY!!

Nice Roll Easy Arh, Is that the Roll Easy from Kerry in PA? That is a real nice vac. I saw it when I visited him at his shop last week. I am preparing a "wish list" for him as he gets lots of stuff in. His workshop is literally up the road from my house. He has lots of cool Kirby vacs and he...

    Newest Edition of the Family

Miele Very nice Miele, vinvac! I saw one Demo'd a couple months back at the local vac shop. Was incredibly quiet and easy to operate. Alas, right now Miele is way out of my price range. Would love to get lucky and find one at thrift store or yard sale, but I highly doubt it.

    Hello All

Hello Kerry Glad to see you here! I found this site after I picked up the vacuums from you. Didn't plan on this becoming a hobby, but it is a lot of fun. They are working great by the way and I use them all every day. I really like the Intesity too. I posted pics of the vacs on the site.

    My Vacuum Collection

Royal Hand Vacs I was just reading your profile and I noticed you are looking for the Royal Hand Vacs. Wish I had known that last weekend. I was at the flea market and someone had a Royal Hand vac with a blue handle and a cloth bag for 5 dollars. I might go again this weekend, if I see it I can...

    My Vacuum Collection

Hi Lux, My favorite Electroluxes are for sure the metal canisters. My Super J's are by far my persoanl favorites from what I own. When I acquired the lot from the Kirby guy, I would have passed on all but the Super J, if I had to choose. But I bought them all from him for $100, so I didn't...

    My Vacuum Collection

Real Electrolux Hi Pete and Ian, The entire Electrolux/Aerus Electrolux issue still has me going...huh???? Ian has a point, and I guess my Electrolux is a real Electrolux because it has roots in the original lineage. Regardless, the design is striking, and I enjoy using it. Plus the fact it...

    Can This be Saved?

Hi Lux, I think you are right. I am going to open it up anyhow just to see what is inside. But probably a lost cause. This vacuum always got real hot if it was used more than a few minutes and it was really loud too, like it was running at a high RPM or something.

    My Vacuum Collection

50th Jubilee Hi Arh1953, That's a great looking Jubilee model. I am a big fan of the Super J and The Golden Jubilee. My Super J is my daily driver, and favorite vac currently in my collection.

    My Vacuum Collection

Electrolux Intensity Hi Lux1521, I learned from researching that my intensity is not a true Electrolux. It ended up in the collection because I purchased all of the vacuums except for one of my Super J's, from the local Kirby guy. He knew I was interested in Electrolux and offered me his...

    My Vacuum Collection

Lux Gal Yuppers. Love them Luxes, but certainly would consider others. I am looking now to get a couple of Hoovers. The Kirbys are cool but always found them "cumbersome."

    My Vacuum Collection

Hello, Here is a photo of my modest to say the least vacuum collection. More like a small gathering. Enjoy! I did not include the hoses or wands, but I have them too. I am missing the crevice tools and brushes for a couple of them.

Thrift Stores "What can you do. It's the march of progress. Either join it, or get left behind in the flivver-dust." Yes, I suppose you are quite right. I guess we too, can get more on eBay for our vacuums, than we could trying to sell on our own.

    Brad's 1935 Filter Queen

Filter Queens Lovely Filter Queens Beerad and Petek! I am learning and seeing new vaccums everyday that I never knew existed. I would have thought they were shop vacs myself. By the way Beerad, that is a cool looking rug. Is that from Ikea?

    To Aeoliandave and Charles Lester

More on Thrift Stores "A typical visit to a thrift here will yield only very late-model, junky small appliances that are broken, shelves of romance novels and Disney videos, cookware that was bought new at some Dollar Days promotion (and vilely mistreated), and broken exercise equipment. Plus...

    To Aeoliandave and Charles Lester

On Junk/Thrift Stores... I agree that the pickings at the thriftjunk stores has really deteriorated over the last several years. I blame eBay partly (actually more than partly). People are now more apt to check eBay before they donate granny's old "whatever." The thrifts stores also are...
