My complete vacuum collection as of September 18th, 2015

It did cost me a lot of money, but these vacuums are in amazing condition! No cracks. There are some scratches, but none of the vacuums are beat up or anything like that. Some of the previous machines I had were in horrible condition, but I got rid of those.

My complete vacuum collection as of September 18th, 2015

I will no longer be collecting vacuum cleaners because I have plenty of them already. I did my final vacuum replacement, and this is my complete collection that will not change. I will never get rid of any of these uprights or the hand vacuums, because they were all very hard to find and...

New Old Stock 2006 Sanitaire SC886

Actually, there is a difference in the motor, for me there is. Just listen to these videos of the two different motors. I hope to have my version of my own Sanitaire up soon. But anyways, here are the links: This is how the motor sounds on mine, but this model is from 2008: This is how the...

New Old Stock 2006 Sanitaire SC886

I picked up my brand new old stock Sanitaire SC886 Vacuum. I am so happy I did not have to buy a Clarke Reliavac to get the traditional Sanitaire motor, or even worse, a Perfect. However, though it is brand new in the box and has never been taken out, it has some deficits. 1. Some scratches...

    I bought a Sanitaire SC886

More than likely, this machine is from the early 2000s. The listing was posted in 2006 and revised in 2009. It for sure will have the pancake style metal motor.

    I bought a Sanitaire SC886

I'm still wondering if it's really a Type A. I think it is.

    I bought a Sanitaire SC886

This is what I bought off ebay that will replace the Hoover Convertible. It is a Sanitaire SC886. Is this a Type A? It says it's Type E, but this looks like a Type A to me. I just paid $250 for it.

    Sanitaire SC886 vs SC888

I am buying the SC886 now since the user responded to me. I thought it was an abandoned ebay account at first because it has been listed since 2006. One thing for sure, it will have the pancake motor and it's brand new.

I really did not want to do this, updates, and what I found out

So it was likely made around 1965 then. That is cool. I hope to have a video of it soon.

    Sanitaire SC886 vs SC888

What are the differences between the Sanitaire SC886 and SC888? I'm still waiting on the seller to respond, but if there is no response, I may go with an SC888. What are the differences? Also, I'm curious. When did Sanitaire start making both models? Also, has there ever been an SC886 with a...

I really did not want to do this, updates, and what I found out

Well, the life of my Rare Montgomery Ward Vacuum Bag gave out today when I had to force the zipper out. I still have the bag. I am going to go all over town seeing if it can be fixed, since it is cloth and not vinyl. One place told me to bring it by, which I plan to. So now my Montgomery Ward...

Thinning my collection and trouble picking between the two

I came to thinking about it. We all know how poorly made Chinese products are. I think I will look for the Sanitaire I like. I don't want to buy a vacuum that breaks down after a few months.

Thinning my collection and trouble picking between the two

I was told that Perfect Vacuums are bad quality. I kind of want a Bissell, but then again, maybe I'll find another commercial vacuum that has the motor I like. I think I am leaning more towards a Bissell. I remember the cleaning lady at my old high school had a Perfect and she loved using it. It...

Thinning my collection and trouble picking between the two

So here is what is going on. I know back in June, I mentioned how I wanted a Hoover Dial a Matic. When I was about to buy it, I found out someone else bought it before me. Anyways, I decided to wait until the Fall Semester which is now to do my final vacuum replacement. I don't want a vintage...

Selling my collection, but not everything

Hello all. As much as I like vacuum cleaners, I'm going to be selling part of my collection. Reason for this is because I am running out of space, due to the amount of vacuum cleaners I have in my room. The 3 rare uprights I have will stay. The Hoover Convertible is going along with all except 2...

Soon to be buying a Hoover Dial a Matic that will replace my Hoover Convertible U4403

This will be the final vacuum replacement. For the past year, since last summer, I've been thinking about replacing my Hoover Convertible U4403. Reason being is that the bag was replaced, it is super loud, and I do not like it as much. I will NOT ever replace my other 3 machines. Reason being is...

    Cord and plug original?

I'm very picky about originality when it comes to vintage vacuum cleaners. I do not like replacements. I am looking to buy a Hoover Vacuum that has that replacement plug. Most of it is clean, however, the bag also has a tear in it. Kyle, let me think about it and I'll get back to you. I'll...

    Cord and plug original?

And I was thinking of buying it. Does anyone know where I can get the original plug and just replace the replacement plug with the original?

Does this cord and plug look original?

My Vacuum Collection as of June 9th, 2015

I want a black plastic dirt devil, the 500 model. However, I want to find it brand new never used.
