    Sears bags

That's happened to the 5023/5033 bags as well. The older originals were thicker.

hoover self propelled w/t bagless repair problem

Usually the plastic "arm" that the spring is on, breaks. It's a repair that's difficult to explain in words. The plastic part has to be held in something solid like a vise while you position the spring, and then that assembly is carefully snapped onto the pins on the base, next to the valve...

    Panasonic upright commercial

6600 series was a good line. It's pretty rare to see one of these with the cloth bag still inside. Most were tossed in favor of the disposable U/U3. 6647, 6640 were more or less a 6210 with different colors and like petek said, had a heavy 3 wire cord and single upper cord hook. The later...

    KENMORE WHISPERTONE 300 Find!

That canister should have the full-size Lamb motor. Panasonic used a factory-supplied (Matsushita) motor, but only the canisters with the "Panasonic" name on them, like the V9644. If it were the canister with the 2 prong hose (ON/OFF on the canister itself), then it would likely have the...

    Unknown Hoover on CL

It's mostly an Elite. The base was exclusive to the Caddy Vac and Breathe Easy. The brushroller was exclusive to that base as well.

    KENMORE WHISPERTONE 300 Find!

Panasonic used the Whirlpool Whispertone design up to around 2003 or so. That is in good shape. Having the later-style Kenmore logo in the yellow color and the moulded in wand holder, I would say it's from around '96 or '97. The final run of the Whispertone.

    Just sad

Happens all the time. Until the recession personally affects this kind of person, they will just go on buying new stuff. For ANY reason. Good for the person that ends up with the Kenmore, though. Push the reset and get a new pedal. Hopefully the PN base isn't cracked in the back section.

Oreck XL 21 Is a Tough Tough Vacuum!

These later XL's can be especially talented at putting up with abuse. The fans are so small and tough. Sometimes the fan housing lets go before the fan even cracks at all. Whatever the "MetaXalloy" fan is made from, it's pretty darn impressive.

Rusty XXX needs a new home

There are two other XXX cans here, the one pictured is just the best of the three. I also have a couple of LX cans. Anything older than a Super J is kinda worthless to the customers I normally deal with. They like looking at them, but won't actually buy them.

Had no idea they put a PN on the canned ham Eureka.

    Tacony Bags

Simplicity type A or B. Same size hole. You do know that the Panasonic upright bag U/U3/U6/U12 is available in generic synthetic as well, right? Much cheaper than Tacony bags, and work just as well. Same goes for the Kenmore 50688.

    Hoover Dimension 1000

That is a tough one. Those brushes were pretty fast movers for replacement. I'll look through my source, there may be some put away. Who knows. Won't know for sure until Tuesday though. Hope somebody here can help you.

    Kenmore and Panasonic Canisters

Just so you are aware... Another part of the Renny's speed control circuitry also consists of a board inside the canister itself.
